Greetings from Cuba! We’re up with a new adventure, and changing diapers is not one of the main sports included this time! Richard and I decided to do a 3-day getaway to Havana, having some time alone and getting our batteries recharged. We’re so blessed to be able to rely on my mother-in-law to look after Olivia. So, while we’re in Cuba working on our couple quality time, Olivia is having a good time spending 4 days with her grandma. Let’s say this is kind of like our third honeymoon.
Visiting Lake Atitlán was a beautiful experience, first because the lake view was just amazing with those 3 volcanos around, it was like a magic scene in front of your eyes every morning, and every time was more impressive, but also because I think this place surprised us with more than we expected. On our first day, we visited Panajachel (see post here), the next day we planned to
After being in Antigua for 3 days we left to visit the Lake Atitlán, a 3-hour drive from Antigua. This is an amazing lake surrounded by Mayan villages and with stunning views of three volcanos: Tolimán, Atitlán & San Pedro. It’s definitely an incredible paradise on earth and a must see if you are traveling to Guatemala. During our stay in Lake Atitlán we decided to visit the town of Panajachel, this town is considered to be the main tourist and commerce centre in
Since Olivia was inside the belly we wanted her to have a special book collection because we love books and wanted her to enjoy them as well. We’ve been working on turning reading into a habit and we can already tell she adores her books. As she’s growing up, her book taste has evolved on different topics and interests as well, that’swhy we try to keep a good variety of books available for her and always looking to
And finally, our very first video for our Guatemala trip. It’s exciting to watch the photos after a trip or event, but there’s also something incredibly special about the video footage. We’ve been fans of homemade videos for a while, randomly filming our trips and adventures, but of course after the baby was born the video-hobby turned more into a must do! And we’re even thinking of doing it very often so please feel free to check out and subscribe to our Youtube channel as well!
We truly hope you enjoy it!
Antigua is a never ending place to discover beautiful sceneries and secret places to amaze the eye. In our visit, we went to Convento Las Capuchinas (check out the post here) and also visited La Merced church (post here), explored an artisan market and enjoyed delicious restaurants around the city. We stayed at the Hotel Casa Santo Domingo, an amazing place right in the entrance of Antigua
